Working in the blueberry shed

Ok. The blueberry shed could be its own blog. So much goes on over there. I really like the people who work for us and they keep me entertained and connected. They have some ideas that I think are crazy and find things fun that I would consider-----not respectable. But anyway, they keep me in perspective of the parents I deal with and the way they think is probably the way a lot of my parents think.

One could say that my employees are not the top students. That always leads me to the question--Why weren't they successful in school? Did they fail school or did school fail them? Just the way they work and the way they handle situations shows me they have some intelligence. Do we mark intelligence only if a person has "book smarts?"

They know how to organize and can quickly see when a job needs to be done. That says a lot for a person when they can jump in and get things done. I really like that in an employee. They are respectful in their attitude and work harder when appreciated or a slight compliment. Isn't that the way we all are? A slight compliment goes a long way.
