This blog could be about anything. Religous, farming, teaching, fishing, cooking, basketball, just plain fun. I also love taking pictures. Because I am not perfect, there will be mistakes. I hope you can look through the mistakes to enjoy what I want to share. I feel like writing is a powerful tool we can use to reflect on our being. You may want to indulge as well. It is up to you to make it public or private.

Good Things to Smile About
Well, if ever there were a week to buy a lottery ticket I think this would have been the perfect one. The blessings I have experienced have been great. To start the week it was my 50th birthday and Lewis of course forgot until that night. A blessing? Yes, I didn't even get upset about it. That's unusual for me. The birthday wishes I received from the students were more than enough to make turning 50 not such a bad thing. I only wish I would have had a camera to follow me from the time I entered the door at the Yellville-Marshall Pee Wee Game to the next morning when I got to school. I would love to replay that day over and over again in my head. I hope to never forget it. Next, I received a promotion. That is really exciting. It helps take away the sting of the memory of what happened on-near last year's birthday away. (That is a whole different story along with the football block on the ball court that ended up me in quite a condition last year that I don't like to remember.) To add to the wonderful week, Taylor got accepted into UAMS in the Physician's Assistant Program. All of those long hours of studying are starting to pay off. (I'm sure even longer hours of study are to follow, but it is still exciting.)
Yes, this week has been a wonderful week filled with multiple blessing from God. The blessings make the bumps that have been there not worth mentioning. Thank you Lord for all you have done.
